So my friend gifted me this cutting of his plant that’s been in water for a while, he told me to leave it in there for about another month so more of its roots come in and I trust him. But I wanna be ready when I have to put it into a pot. What do I need? Grow light? Heating pad? What kind of soil? Should I mist it? (My friends room is really humid because he loves Monsteras but I can’t provide that kind of environment). Any and all tips are appreciated, especially if you’ve dealt with this kind of Monstera before. Also is it an albo or Thai con?

Definitely a good grow light is the main thing imo – these need a LOT of light. A Barrina T10 would be good for coverage as it grows larger, or a SANSI bulb.
No misting, it does nothing but encourage fungal diseases. Get a good chunky mix going, 1/3 soil or coco coir, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 orchid bark. And read up on proper sphagnum moss poles if you want it to really size up and make mature leaves.
