Because of you, I have Apple, peach, nectarine, mulberry, avocado, pomegranate, lemon, orange, tangerine trees, not to mention elderberry, blueberry, and grapes in my backyard orchard. Most of them are young so I’m not bearing fruit yet, I want to leave them for my kids to enjoy after I do. Thanks for all the videos and tips which gave me the confidence to grow trees with my veggie garden. Merry Christmas! Judy Verdusco (Joe’s Qudy) ❌⭕️🙏🏽♥️
Sounds like it's a good time to get a neighbor involved. "Hey, I only have room for one apricot tree in my yard, but cross-pollination optimizes fruit yield. Would you like an apricot tree in your yard?"
Or you can keep them small and have 3 trees and you can reach all the fruit from the ground. Prune around summer and winter solstice. Will prune mine on Christmas I guess..
My 1 & only apple tree caught 'Apple Cedar Rust' disease. There are two other apple trees in neighbors yards. A gruesome disease, apple and cedar trees pass the disease back and forth between themselves in a continuous cycle.
I found an old scraggly shaded out apple tree on a newly purchased forest lot that I bought twenty years ago. It was over a mile from the nearest apple tree. Every several years it would yield a few nondescript apples.

Just planted a crab apple this year and looking to plant an apple tree next year … They just have to survive my mini herd of deer …

Does it matter if they are the same type of tree? I don't know anything about fruit trees. Lol.
Or graft on another variety of the same type of tree.
It also depends on where you live. Apples are very uncommon in some parts of the country.

Graft some different varieties on the same tree! Boom! Problem solved

Golden Delicious trees can self pollinate. They are also one of the best trees for pollinating other apple trees.
There's always grafting multiple varieties or even fruits onto one tree.

…The answer is; NONE of the Above !
The REAL answer is, you'll just "need" one tree each of MULTI-Grafted apple-, pear-, stone fruit-, cherry, etc.
Awesome info about fruit trees and their yields!💖
Keep these fantastic tips coming!👍
Happy 🎄Holidays!
