A few years ago my Birkin nearly died but never quite gave up. Until recently it's grown small solid green leaves but never fully reverted to Rojo Congo(it still had pale green stems) but now been putting out leaves with a little bit of stripping on them. The weird part is during this whole struggle of growing back though it's been growing teeny leaves on the main stem. Does anyone know what's going on it has anyone seen this?

it’s sending out little plants out the nodes as a last resort if it was dying i’m guessing. with all these growth points, it’s going to grow super slowly. you can chop in between nodes and root them. you can then plant those in with this one to make it fuller or keep them separate.
Looks like it is trying to tissue culture itself.
I’ve never seen anything like that, it’s super cool 😎
I had a PPP do that when I accidentally neglected it and it was trying to recover. Both are same species, so I’m guessing it’s an attempt by the plant to produce an offset as insurance in times of stress.
Had a similar situation tho no quite as extreme with a very stressed philodendron pink lady after I finally water her
