Incoming President Tobias Wilhelm added:

“I’m excited to build on the strong foundation that’s been established by past leadership. The Garden District is special first and foremost because of the people who call it home. Our goal is to celebrate what already makes this neighborhood great and find thoughtful ways to make it even better. I’m looking forward to working alongside our newly elected officers and our neighbors to care for and strengthen the Garden District together.”

In addition to announcing the new board, the Garden District Neighborhood Foundation is inviting residents and community members to volunteer on committees that support each director’s work. Committee volunteers play a vital role in carrying out programs, events, advocacy efforts, and neighborhood initiatives throughout the year.

Serving on a committee allows neighbors to contribute their time and talents without the commitment of a board position, while still having a meaningful impact on the community.

Residents interested in volunteering are encouraged to sign up using the Foundation’s committee interest form at the QR code below:

The Garden District Neighborhood Foundation looks forward to working with its new leadership team and volunteers to continue fostering neighborhood pride, safety, engagement and preservation in 2026.
