I saw this grass like plant growing beside the water in the Berlin botanical gardens, in an outdoor area, during winter, but can't ID them and all image ID tools are giving me the wrong results. What could it be?

    There’s Equisetum telmateium and a species of Carex sp in this picture

    I think Op is not talking about the Equisetum all over the picture like some people here seem to think, they even specified “grass like”. It’s probably some kind of Carex, probably Carex pendula as that plant is often found near water.

    I love this garden! It’s one of my favorite places in Berlin. It’s so big that you need a whole day to see it all.

    OP, which plant are you referring to as “grasslike”? The sort of golden tufty things? or the green blades in the foreground?
