A man is turning up at home drunk and has abused his wife and children.
The claim was made at a family law hearing that took place at Naas District Court.
The woman said the man does not live at the address and the children are “very frightened.” He was neither present nor represented.

She further alleged that he threatened to throw garden furniture through a window.
The woman told Judge Desmond Zaidan that she had been advised by a garda to come to a family law court.
She further claimed he has called other members of her family.
However Judge Zaidan said that cases like this should be investigated by the gardaí.
The judge said the gardaí cannot “pass the buck” by advising her to use family law legislation.
The judge said the gardaí are unwilling to open a case and he advised the woman to go to the gardaí and “tell them you want it investigated.”
Judge Zaidan granted an interim protection order, pending a fuller hearing on May 25.
