One of my favorite phenotypes you have in this photo. Consistent evenly spaced areoles and symmetry. Many KK339’s are good for this too. It’s also what attracts me to Copiapoa. A well ground Copiapoa should be nice and evenly spaced and symmetrical. Even in the wild you see some Copiapoa that are hundreds of years old and the body of the cactus that hasn’t corked up from lack of sunlight grows so symmetrical and evenly spaced. This is even with the harsh climate
Your perus look a lot like these ones I rescued from a nursery that heavily neglected them. When I got them I thought most were Texas Torch and this one in the picture I thought may have been a Pach. They were like 3-4’ long and 1-1 1/2” thick. With proper care they became quite fine specimens. Even getting this blue in full sun.
