It looks like a jacaranda. In Australia they are called the Christmas tree because of when they bloom.

My family had a Jacaranda growing next to our garage. It was pretty… But the roots fucked up our foundation for years and years. The flowers that fall are very fleshy and rot on the ground in a gross, brown mess. Not fun to experience.
Pretty to look at but I’d refrain of trying to cultivate one if anyone thinks of it…
