Picked this girl up for $5 at the local big box store. She was pretty dry and had some dead leaves. Checked the root system and it look ok (didn’t want to disturb the root ball too much). Removed the dead leaves, sprayed her with dead bug spray and gave her a nice fertilized drink. I did put her in my plant corner right next to the humidifier. Any other tips that you guys can offer? I’m all ears!

No just be prepared to be disappointed of upset.
My calathea needs more attention then all of my other plants COMBINED.
Sounds like you got it covered! She’s a beauty. Oh, indirect bright light. She’ll love it.
Oh. Make sure the humidifier is not blowing right on her. I keep mine about 10” from the humidifier.
Edit: stop misting her and wipe off the standing water on her leaves. Misting doesn’t really do anything. Leaving water on the leaves can cause other issues.
You’ve already done an excellent job! Now just to wait and see if she likes the conditions you have
Oh!! Only thing I can think of is use distilled or rain water if you have hard tap water. They haaaate mineralized water. If you have soft enough tap water you can get away with using tap though.
