Adding plants for winter interest extends garden enjoyment beyond the growing season while providing food and shelter for wildlife. Red stems and berries against the snow, birds moving through bare branches, and the texture of native grasses all bring life to an otherwise quiet landscape. Choosing plants that shine in winter is a gift to ourselves and to the wildlife that shares our gardens.

I’m so curious: why no images of each plant in the actual story, only here in the thumbnail? Also, what area are these plants listed native to?
Then you have those few plants where the leaves are evergreen, but will change color if it gets cold enough, such as [Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi)](https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/68049-Arctostaphylos-uva-ursi/browse_photos). Then they may have red berries that persist to winter, which helps add to their winter interest.
Native to what area?
This is a global subreddit.
It’s an ad, OP is the same name as the website that’s why there’s negative 3 information; they want us to go to the site.
My anise hyssop, baptisia and switchgrass are my standouts for winter interest in my yard. I do wanna get a birch and a few berry shrubs this next season
Wow no black chokeberry or winter berry
