Found this little guy at a freakin grocery store (on the nicer side of town, of course; my grocery store of the same name on my more run-down side of town sells more basic plants & they never seem to get shipments in as often…) in one of those plastic tubes you see Venus fly traps in, listed as a starter plant 🥺! For an amphioxus this looks like much more than a starter plant! I used to have an amphioxus a friend gifted me a cutting of a few years ago and I had killed it before getting it to root & never thought I’d find another very easily without having to order online. I am staying at my mother’s but when I get back to my apartment I plan on making a terrarium for it. In the meantime I found one of my cloches at her house & a box of some of my cheaper old grow lights for this temporary mini set up.
Anyways, I’m really excited about this because this is my first full plant begonia since I’ve been rebuilding my plant collection back to its former glory from practically 0. I used to grow and propagate a lot of different (mostly cane) begonia but lost all of my plants last year, including my beloved begonia, & really miss growing them; I still have a lucerna from that era and am rooting a benigo pink cutting I got last month so this will be my third.

Just from my recent experience (I do know some begonias like 100% humidity sometimes but I can’t speak for amphioxus), I’d find something to very slightly tip the cloche up for mild gas exchange to avoid rot or mold/funk
