I see some growth like to the plant however it looks like it’s in horrible shape so what I’m wondering I know that they have their nodes but can you put the stem in the water too and have it grow just the same like the end of the vine? Can you stick that in water or does it have to be nodes ?

because sometimes they are positioned in a weird angle so for me to propagate and water, I have to like stand it up. If I could just put the vine the end of the thing in the water that would be so much easier. What can I do about this I probably should propagate this whole plant, right and please for the love of God. I’m only asking about this. I’m not asking about pest or bugs .

I believe the issue is overwatering combined with wrong light for the state the plant is in. This can cause the scar like tissues you’re seeing. No need to trash the plant or chop it into tiny pieces or propagate it in water 🙂
    1) get/make better soil – more fine grit and less soil from what I see in the photos.
    2) now you can cut 🙂 doesn’t need to be each teeny melon by itself, just good healthy stem portions and you do have a bunch there!
    3) coil/place them on top of the new soil. I know these are spillers but don’t pot them at the edge of the pot, they need to grip the center first and then they’ll expand outward.
    4) depending on how/where you grow – for the first few days I wouldn’t do anything, let it recover a bit. Somewhere bright but no direct light yet. After a few days you can mist the soil, these guys want more moisture while establishing (I know it sounds counter-intuitive when I just said they were overwatered 🤭). Then slowly throughout the course of a week or two introduce it gradually to more light.

I think it’s gonna be totally fine 🪴 try to really observe it during these two weeks- it’ll tell you if it’s thirsty (hard and shriveled) or too wet (mushy).
