Pilea propagation that is admittedly way overdue for potting up. Just noticed these swimmers in the bottom. They don’t move until the bottle is disturbed then they are set in motion. I won’t be putting this down any of my drains!

mosquito larvae ! just dump em out and change the water and try to change the water more frequently 🙂

If you have fish they would probably love to eat that mosquito larvae

Definitely mosquito larvae. Cjange it, then put mosquito bits in the water to get the larvae before they become mosquitos. This could happen in as little as 4 days, but usually takes a little over a week for the little blood suckers to come out

Wow! Thanks everyone! I was at the same time creeped out and fascinated by this. I’ve got mosquito bits and I’ll change the water until I get a chance to pot this up. At least I know it’s not some hammer head worm infestation 😂

I also learned this very recently about the mosquitos. I had them in a glass I’m rooting an avocado seed in. Creepy and interesting at the same time

You can dump the water down your drain if you want, but you’d be better off, pouring it on the ground

As you’ve heard, they’re just mosquito larva, but it’s also a sign you’re not changing your water nearly enough that water is way too green and murky

Oh no. One of my worst enemies. Mosquito larvae. One of the insects you dont want in yh3at water. Trust me. Unless you are using the larvae as food for a lizard for frog then I suggest you remove said larvae.

Might want to put a tiny air stone in there. Flies love stagnant water.
