About 15 years ago I grew 5 basil plants in old cut up soda bottles hung by a chain in an apartment window.

Today my garden is (22) 30″ wide 50′ long beds with 4 high tunnels, a green house, seed starting room, and 20 fruit trees.

We raise our own pigs and chickens and sell at farmers markets.

We have a walk in cooler and 3 bread ovens on 10 acres.

    Keep going.

You have to start somewhere!!! I always say if you weren’t gardening in apartments, raising small animals secretly in rentals, and cooking everything you can from scratch…. You probably don’t have the passion for a bigger homestead!

I think that’s actually low flow aeroponics, hydroponics would have the roots constantly submerged in water, which is physically impossible in these tubes. So you’re going to end up with a reservoir at the base, a pump and a sprayer that flows nutrient water down the tube. I am not trying to be a know it all, i am just trying to help so when you start looking for equipment and describing your setup, everyone knows what you’re talking about.
