Is this a bad way to hold up the orchid? Do you think I should straighten it more or do you think it's capable of staying like that?

Holy moly I didn’t know orchids could get that big. Thats pretty impressive lol

Maybe longer pole and bring it closer to the window, so it does not have to reach like that?

I mean, assuming you’re the one who’s grown this Vanda to this size I don’t know that anyone else’s opinion counts here. Holy schmoly!

    That orchid looks crazy happy!
    Why touch it?
Just keep supporting it with sticks in the dirt…
    Awesome !

I think you should go out and get a telephone pole to hold this up on, but for real I wouldn’t leave it at that angle maybe go to local hardware store and get a dowel to support it so its at its natural stance. But its very beautiful and keep up the great work. 😁

It’s too late. You’d have to have staked it before. I’d just get another stake to hold it up on the right side and let it do its thing. Gorgeous plant

All she really wants is to bask in the sun!

How long have you have this? It looks like it grew in totally different conditions to what it has now and bloomed because it’s a mature sized Vanda, they can storage enough energy to do so, specially with leaves that nice and big (tho the newer ones on the top are significantly smaller). I would definitely move it to more light if you can, or at least closer to the window. Orchids are master at adapting and surviving and it can’t take years till you can see differences.

It is perfectly capable of staying like that , if it’s not wobbly it’s fine.

My vanda is free hanging, mine is the height where yours is making upward turn from the first bend. I have four others different sizes. Your is amazing

A stout cedar pole and keep doing what you’re doing.

Oof this inspires me to grow vandas indoors. I saw some at my local Lowe’s but I was hesitant to purchase.

Magnificent vanda. I have no advice, only admiration!
