What originally started out as a small plant/ikea impulse buy has turned out to be a pretty large lad. Any ideas on how to best handle this plant? I’ve had it for about four years and love it a lot. I think it’s coming up on needing a re-pot as it’s been in this one for the better part of three years.

Not an expert..but “chop and prop” is usually the term people use .cut it & stick it in water til it gets roots then soil.. but please research how to do it first

You can trim it down to size that is manageable, people seem to shy away from this but they do grow to be mahoosive so it makes sense and won’t harm the plant at all. Also you can chop & prop and maybe give new cuttings to friends and family as gifts or sell them. All this relatively easy to do, lots of information on how to do this especially on YouTube.

i agree with u/OkEgg9334. think of it like topiary. if it was my plant, id want to start going from a leggy look to a bushier look, which can be done, and would free up some space around it.
