Recently I learned that contemporary biophilic design has strong origins in work started in the 1990s to make zoo enclosures more habitable for animals. So now I think of this whenever I see green walls!

I love this. There is one near where I work, and I’ve often wondered how it’s maintained.
I honestly thought it would be unsustainable, but over three years, it seems to be thriving.
