– French Crane's-bill, perfect pink trumpets.
– Caucasian crane's-bill, spot the bee in the purple.
– Herb-Roberts, delicate ballerina of a weed, in the wild area at the top of our garden.
Re-exploring neighbourhood nature after a decade virtually housebound with ME/CFS (about me):
I've been sharing daily, since late April, my enthusiastic amateur phone and SLR pics with my existing friends in the chronic illness communities, on other social media. under the "BloomScrolling" tag. I've just discovered this community and figured it might be nice to post a recap of some of my favourite shots from my unprecedented year of exploring the suburban beauty that's been inaccessible all around me. Here in the UK.
I have barely had the energy to go for a walk up my parent's lovely garden, since a previous remission in 2013 tapered off. But I've been implementing a lot of new self-treatment interventions since mid-2024, and hoping my improvements stick!
I've mostly been using my 4yo phone and occasionally lugging around my 12yo old dSLR, with 'walk about' lens.
