BRICK — Five people were injured Friday when an armored GardaWorld Security truck and a Toyota SUV collided on a Garden State Parkway exit ramp in the township, according to the New Jersey State Police.

The crash occurred just before noon on the parkway’s Exit 91 ramp, from its northbound lanes, in the area of the Burrsville Road interchange, said State Trooper Christopher Postorino, an agency spokesman.

The driver of the Peterbilt-made armored vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver and three passengers in the Toyota were also taken to an area hospital for minor injuries, Postorino said.

Troopers responded to the crash at 11:57 a.m. Friday, he said.

The crash is under investigation and no additional details were immediately available, he said.
