John Sayer has applied to Cheshire East Council for permission to construct the two new energy-efficient dwellings to the rear of 16 Heybridge Lane.

A design and access statement, submitted by JamHappy, says: “The proposed scheme is for the construction of two four-bedroom detached dwellings, each set within their own grounds.”

The property in Heybridge Lane currently comprises a large detached two-storey house, Long Acre, with a single-storey amenity cottage and a separate garage in extensive grounds.

The planning document says: “The proposed dwellings have been positioned to the east of the application site to maintain good distance to neighbouring properties to the west.

“The proposed dwellings have been aligned to minimise any impact of one dwelling over the other, with neither new dwelling having windows overlooking the other.”

It says none of the occupied rooms will be capable of overlooking the existing house.

It adds: “The new dwellings will have vehicular and pedestrian access from the existing entrance at 16 Heybridge Lane.

“The existing drive to 16 Heybridge Lane will remain.

“A new drive will be created to separate from the existing drive and lead down to the proposed new dwellings.”

The application, number 25/4298/FUL, can be viewed on the planning portal on Cheshire East Council’s website.
