Looking for advice on starting Utah Juniper from seed! I collected a handful of berries while hiking through the Grand Canyon last week and am really hoping to have at least one or two successfully germinate!
I'm seeing conflicting info online, some saying they need 70 days of warm stratification and then 120 days of cold stratification, some saying just 70 days of cold stratification, and some saying 120 days of just cold stratification!
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

No experience with this, but often in bonsai and plant stuff when I see conflicting info from reliable sources, that tells me both approaches were successful.
So unless you get better info from someone on here, I’d either try some seeds each way, or try them all at a compromise between all of the advice, like 30 days of warm stratification and 95 days of cold stratification.
So I have grown junipers from seed but they were common junipers not Utah junipers.
My experiance is that I did 60 days warm stratification and 120 days cold stratification. However I had to check them every week because even before I started any of the cold stratification some began to germinate with just the warm stratification.
