Hi all, I’m back. I recently repotted the plant pictured in Miracle Gro’s Tropical Potting Mix. These little pods have appeared. More have appeared since this photo was taken a while ago.
I’ve had the plant for years (it was inherited after a death), and I’ve never seen this happen. Now I’m wondering if I’ve misidentified it and the tropical mix isn’t the best.
So 2 questions: what are these pods? And, what type of plant is this?

In my experience it can be a little messy while it blooms. The flowers drip nectar
My croton is so beautiful and luscious and she’s never bloomed for me!! Why don’t my plants love me!!!
