My great-grandmother was born in Lafayette County, Florida in the late 1800s. These lilies came from her old homestead.

They were dug up after she passed and my Aunt Mary tended them till she passed. My grandmother dug them up again and they’ve been in pots ever since. They get brought inside when it’s less than 45 degrees as they droop pretty badly.

They only bloom at this time of year, mid December! A sweet citrusy scent but very light. When I was a girl I never remember them blooming tho.

The lubbers (giant ugly Floridian grasshoppers) get them pretty badly in the summer.

I would appreciate any help identifying these! Or for someone to point me in the right direction! Thank you all for reading.
