ORLANDO, Fla. — Fans of Olive Garden can now buy the restaurant’s signature cheese graters and have them sent to their homes. The graters are the same kind that servers use at tables to sprinkle cheese on pasta and salad.
The cheese graters cost $19.99 plus tax and can be added to any online order for delivery or takeout through the Olive Garden website or mobile app. Each grater also comes with a block of Romano cheese at no additional cost, so buyers can use it right away.
The graters went viral after a TikTok video showed customers asking servers if they could buy them.
The video made people all over the country talk about the unusual item. At the time, some Olive Garden locations sold the graters to diners at their tables.
Now the restaurant chain, which has nearly 900 locations in the United States, has officially made the cheese grater a permanent item on its delivery and take‑out menu. Some holiday versions of the grater, in limited green designs, may show up in lucky orders.
