my red secret was doing pretty well for a while. sported new growth every month or so and had nice, shimmery leaves and all. I then determined it was time for a re pot. Since, it hasn't done anything other than lose its two best looking stems/leaves, and produce one meager, small leaf that didn't even bother to unfurl all the way. I've learned to be patient with these plants, because they can recover. but it's been completely static for the last 3 months almost. is it the time of year combined with the re potting? Why is it behaving like this?

Not enough information. Whats the temp and humidity like in your home? How often are you watering? Are you fertilizing, how often, what with?

It could be the season if you are using natural light. In the northern hemisphere the days are shorter and cooler now. Any sun that the plants get is weak. Your plant could be waiting for spring and suspending growth to save energy

It’s probably working on roots and its being slowed dien by the time if year even if its not cold still natural light levels are reduced and most tropical and subtropical plants will slow their metabolisms diet greatly give it at least a full year and if it doesn’t improve to your satisfaction then trash it i guess idk.
