The trees were donated through the Dobbies Community Christmas Trees scheme by Dobbies Garden Centres in partnership with Needlefresh, with winners collecting them from the Swindon store during a Christmas Shopping Night on Thursday, November 27.
Shaw Ridge Primary School, Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, Friends of St Catherine’s, and Lawn Primary and Nursery School were this year’s recipients.
Andrew Emery, general manager at Dobbies’ Swindon store, said: “We were truly inspired by the response to Dobbies Community Christmas Trees.
“A huge thank you to the local schools and nurseries in Swindon who applied, the enthusiasm and community spirit in the applications made the selection process incredibly difficult for our team.
“We’re delighted to have given Shaw Ridge Primary School, Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, Friends of St Catherine’s and Lawn Primary and Nursery School a free Christmas tree this year and thoroughly enjoyed welcoming representatives along to our Christmas Shopping Night to collect it.
“We hope that the unmistakable scent of a real Christmas tree brings festive cheer and a touch of magic to children, staff members and families this Christmas.”
