I used an online plant identifier that said it may be 'Rumohra adiantiformis' or an 'iron fern.' but I'm still iffy about trusting those completely.

and even if that is correct, I could not find any concrete information on if that specific species is dangerous to cats or not. I am ready to rush her to an emergency vet if needed.

thank you so much in advance 🙏🙏🙏

Most ferns end up on the same category, if I remember right, mildly toxic to non toxic, monitor for puking, if puking a lot or having a lot of diarrhea or showing discomfort, bring to vet

Is this the only piece you have? Can you upload a picture of the rest of the plant? Also, where did it come from? A bouquet?

That’s a Letherleaf fern, mildly toxic or irritating to cats

All I can say is that it is a fern.

Toxicity of most ferns is due to thiaminase enzyme, which destroys thiamine (vitamin B1), and can accordingly be remedied by thiamine replenishment. Since excess thiamine doesn’t really cause any adverse effects, administering is preventively will do no harm.
