One is dry. One probably has root rot. Nebula is so hard for me to keep happy. Everyone probably has their nemesis Alocasia, this may be mine. It doesn’t like being dry for a day, doesn’t like being wet for a couple weeks either. Both are in semi hydro. Most of my Alocasia don’t complain if the reservoir is wet for a couple weeks. Most don’t complain if you are a day late to water… oh well

I immediately killed a variegated nebula I found in a nursery. It had been in rough shape and I put it in semi hydro to try and save it. It hated the transition and kicked the bucket as soon as it could.

Join the club- 4 out of 7 of my Alocasias are down to stumps. I’m so glad I didn’t spend a butt load of $ on them.

My nemesis is the Alocasia polly. I had a huge GORGEOUS one summer of last year. As soon as autumn arrived? Spider mites over and over and over. To this day, all I have is the rhyzome with a single puny baby leaf from a growth point on it. Because I had to chop the original leaves down to a stump. 😭

What’s your ambient? I keep my mommas in 50% or so. And in self watering either stratum perlite or pon. If you wanna send her over I’ll rehab her real nice
