Don’t worry, they’re not in soil. I always set mine in little decorative pots or shells. They are on the windowsill in my shower room. So they get morning sun, filtered, and the steam from two showers a day, I mist them with filtered water every few days. plus I soak them every few weeks.
My favorite ones are the curly ones. I’ve seen them at the green market 15 inches long. They were beautiful.
