My girlfriend got this for me as a gift and I would feel just downright awful if I let this plant die. I read that I should water it every few days with minimal amounts of water, I’ve been doing that for a few weeks and it’s still getting worse. I have it sitting in front of a south facing window. Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Ferns like shady places more than sun. Boston fern is a diva. She likes moisture and humidity.
First of, cut out all brown leaves. I then recommend getting her in the shower and thoroughly water her.
Mine does enjoy generous waterings every like 5 days or so.
