hi friends and welcome back well we have had a very cold and windy week here and because of all of that wind boy am I glad we had that other tree taken down um I’m going to show show you a little bit of that today if you are a regular viewer you know that we already had a tree fall on our house this year anyway like I said it’s been cold and windy here but today it is sunny it’s a baly 28° so where do you think I’m going to go the beach of course always actually I have been out in the area doing a little bit of shopping and I’m going to share a little bit of that with you today um if I’m within 20 minutes to half an hour typically I’m going to take a drive here after all it is my happy place I don’t care what time of year it’s just so peaceful actually took me a little bit to find a parking spot there are quite a few people walking around but anyway enough said I want to head out a little closer to the water so let’s just quickly take a little walk out by the water and then I will share the rest of today’s video with you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] well I just wanted to show you here how they have plowed out our backyard now this is the entire area if you remember we had cleared out last year and we had put in Grass which came up beautifully and it was at the end of the summer so I was so nervous of course I’m inside watching from my kitchen window and I was so nervous please don’t damage this area but I understand they have to get their equipment in to have the tree uh cut down and hauled away so let me show you this entire area is what they cleared um rather crunchy this morning the other thing I’m watching from my kitchen window and you can see right in here where he’s coming with his huge blade just pushing the snow up there there and he was awfully close to my garden here so I just came out and just said please please don’t get too close because I have a lot of plants and things and he was very nice about it he understood and he said he was aware of it that Mark had talked about it before but from the kitchen window my perspective was a little different any let me show you the tree we’re having this tree down because as you recall roughly a month ago we had a tree uh it’s obviously no longer there fall onto our garage we looked out we did not have any damage it shook the entire house it was about 2: or 3 in the morning so it was rather scary but the one that we’re having cut down if that falls on our house now we will have some consequences so anyway as you can see we have visitors here pretty sure it’s dear that’s where they come and they make a little visit to my Center Garden here this is Saturday February 15th we’re supposed to get snow today and tomorrow big storm and this is what’s going on thankfully the tree is coming down before we get the storm That is supposed to also bring [Music] winds fun [Music] [Music] [Music] it’s how you do it just a little at a hi Oliver [Music] hi hello [Music] hi Oliver hi [Music] oliv hi Oliver hi oliv [Music] the great thing about after Valentine’s Day is you get some roses at a very good price so I decided to buy two bouquet and to put them in just a little Terin I’m in the middle of making an arrangement and of course this is what my thumb looks like because there’s some thorns on these things they’re rather sharp too so okay let’s finish this up and I’ll show you when I’m done [Music] I thought I would share with you what I purchased at Gardener Supply what a beautiful place that is winter or summer and you should see it in the summer actually I have a video on that it’s something to see so I purchased this little copper container I thought it was adorable you know I love copper with the succulents already planted in it and it was a nice little variety I really liked that this one is fun it’s actually kind of fuzzy and they they were not selling some of these individually which is why I chose to purchase the container plus it was actually more affordable to uh purchase it this way meaning a planter that they had already put together and then I did buy just a few succulents because I wanted to I don’t know I wanted to plant some of my own and um I had this Willow basket already so I just lined it with some plastic with like a plastic bag and then I planted the little succulents in there yes a couple of them are similar to these but I don’t care I love them and then I did purchase one of these little uh I got the house I showed you in theore door it’s just adorable it’s like a a very thin tin and um I thought it was so cute extremely easy to put together and I just tucked it amongst my succulents so I did get that I thought I couldn’t resist I did purchase this tool also just to help me with planting seeds I do want to try once again to start some inside this year and look at this it is actually made in England the company since 1730 so you know me I love anything from England and then I purchased just a few organic seeds some yellow beans which I love mini cucumbers and some basil so these are um some of the seeds I have purchased so far I guess I am getting the itch to Garden early this year and just looking at this does make it feel like spring inside even though we may have I don’t know maybe 20 in of snow outside anyway I just thought I would share this with you thank Hi Carla, I loved going to the garden center and seeing the beautiful flowers, knowing that Spring is right around the corner. It was a joy seeing Oliver. He really did some cute tricks. We have had a lot of snow here, but nothing like you have had. Hopefully some of it will melt this week. Oh, and your rose arrangement was beautiful. Have a great week.❤

Carla, thank you for today's enjoyable video. You always provide such interesting content highlighted with great instrumental music. I loved the visit to the ocean with the sounds of the wind and waves breaking; how peaceful. Even the sleet coming down and crunchy footsteps through the frozen snow was relaxing. You have mastered your craft. Like all of us, we are looking forward to spring after this snowy and bitterly cold winter. I am glad that you are having a "heat wave" with a balmy 28 degrees. Today in New York City our heat wave is at 34 degrees. Lol. Your tour of the garden centers really made me wish for an early spring. Hi Carla, your love of beaches reminds me so much of myself. I was born, raised and still live in Rhode Island. We have some of the most beautiful beaches and I have enjoyed them since I was a small child.I don’t know if you have had the chance to visit Rhode Island, but if you do, go to Scarborough Beach and enjoy lunch at the Coastguard House. Hi Carla ! what a view at the beach .. so pretty. The bird sure stole the show lol,, what a nice garden shop there is one really nice in Indianapolis I always like going to when I visit my daughter. Watch those rose thorns , I had to have hand surgery to have one removed ! I'm glad the old tree is gone that is scaary having old trees near your home. 20" of snow wow, ours is melting here in ne Indiana yay! Take care friend ~~ Paula

We're getting the 40s! I enjoyed this video so much as I've been down with that nasty, lingering, cold, but we're making reservations for Pickety Place and a day out in that direction early next month. After watching the beach in this video, must get there soon too! You made a lovely rose bouquet. With new stem cuts they should do well for a while.
Here in Ohio…we use snow sticks to outline our driveway or wherever we want to have shoveled or plowed. Just a suggestion to save your gardens.

Visiting a garden center or viewing the ones on your channel is such a joy this time of year when Spring seems far away. We had a very nasty wind storm this week that knocked out the power. The roses are so pretty!
