Hi everyone,
I recently got this Alocasia and I’m trying to figure out which species or cultivar it is.
I’ve added a photo — any help would be much appreciated.
If you have any tips or tricks for caring for this specific type (light, watering, humidity, etc.), I’d love to hear them as well.
Thanks in advance! 🌱

Looks to be a Jacklyn to me.
Seems to be a Tandarusa. (Sold as ‘Jacklyn’ from what I have seen, but I think there was a controversy with that name, so just to be sure I don’t use that name anymore for it.)
My second favorite alocasia!
Alocasia Jacklyn – also known as Tandurusa
As all alocasias, bright indirect light is best, no direct sun, likes to stay moist but hates wet soil or dry dry, humidity 60-80% but can adapt to less, stays happy between 23-28 C / 73 -82 F
I keep mines in chunky aroids mix, mostly perlite and bark, horticultural coal and worm castings, but I’ve seen a lot of alocasias are happy on Pon or Semi-hydro (Leca+Moss)
I fertilize with every watering just microdosing GT foliage focus and do 3 vs 1 with 1 being just water to flush out salts and build up.
Watering really depends on your soil, temperatures and conditions, these are hungry and thirsty plants!
Hope she gives you many leaves! 🍃
It’s a Tandurusa! They can get pretty big, too! I honestly don’t know why it’s fond of me but it kicked out a two footer and it’s working on another massive one after a repot.
