About two months ago i pruned my Aristolochia gigantea to keep her indoors during winter. I took the chance to make some cuttings with her lianas and i kept them inside a thermostated box with grow lights constantly at 24-26 °C during day and about 17-18 °C at night. The cuttings sprouted right away and kept growing consistently but never rooted. Now one of them is developing flower buds and the rest is trying to (some little buds are withering). How is this happening and what can i do to encourage rooting? Today i tried coating a couple with rooting powder, we'll see how it goes (i have never had much success using rooting agents tbh…).
Also, the plant was still flowering in october when i pruned her… Maybe the cuttings are still in the wrong metabolic phase to root?
