Several years ago, a single branch from one of my old fashioned blue mophead hydrangeas, decided to produce a branch with a completely different flower than normal.

I decided to chop the branch off and propagate it, in the hope of growing a new plant.

Now, I have a lovely sized plant with these unusual curly petalled pink/blue blooms, the same as I saw several years ago.

Nature always gives us beautiful things to enjoy.
