My wife’s euphorbia, was transplanted within the last 3 years. Yellowing begins at base and spreads until finally the branch collapses or dries. Thinking it is fungal, haven’t watered for ~2 months in Colorado. Last pic I cut a week ago to try to contain the spread. Worried it will die entirely, so considering taking cuttings to propagate and regrow. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Looks like rot to me, make sure it’s dried out that’s the main thing, are the areas that are dying squishy?
