My mom gave me this plant when I moved and while it's been healthy for a while its condition is starting to decline. The first two and the next two pictures are five days apart. I keep it watered with that bottle which slowly drips water in which my mom used and was perfectly fine. It lives in my bedroom where there is a south facing window but doesn't get any direct light and stays relatively warm. I'd greatly appreciate help as this plant is important to me.

Too wet let the soil dry out in between waterings that’s not how you should be watering plants and imo more light.

Mine recently just went to shit and I propagated it yesterday. When I take the pot out tomorrow I’m going to check if the roots were still tied up (to create that braid). You should check yours. If the trunks are all soft and peeling, it may be too late. My trunks were all this way and it heavily smells of mold. I barely watered it and it had no pests. No idea if the babies will root and survive or if I even did it right but I guess we’ll find out in the next 1-2 months. If your trunks are fine but there’s rot, you’ll need to cut away anything rotten and mushy and replant it and stop overwatering it. I barely watered mine once a month and it was happy until it wasnt.
Also get a plant light. It probably wants more light. It has less need for water to my understanding if it’s not getting enough light either.
