I love my elephantotis fern but am concerned he’s not happy…

Bottom water once a week – if it still has some weight to it, I hold off on watering a few days. Is in a bright but tinted office window – s/w facing.

Thoughts and/or suggestions greatly appreciated! Love this guy!!!

TIA!!

I only have the more common staghorn with the forked fronds, but according to this: https://buyraretropicalplants.com/rare-plants/platycerium-elephantotis/

The elephantotis apparently needs more moisture and humidity. Yours looks like its drying out. Also says it likes filtered light so possibly too much sun?

Typically staghorns are mounted on a plaque to mimic how they grow on trees in the wild. I didn’t have a great place to hang one so I have mine in a vanda basket so I can hang it in a window but also easily give it a soak or shower. Do you mist the fronds or just water the pot? My understanding is that they get most of their moisture through the fronds.

This is a really cool plant BTW. Never seen these and now I kind of want one!
