Basement waterproofing seems to be ripping. What do I do?

This plastic sheeting / membrane which covers our basement has started to tear gradually. I’m not sure when this was put in, whether when the house was built, or retrospectively to fix a problem.

I’m not sure how much of an issue this is, and how / if I need to address. The DPC is one level above and is intact.

Without lifting up the patio, I’m not sure what I can do as the area is small, but I’m worried about whether this rip will cause issues (albeit it feels so flimsy and not so useful).
