A man has died after he suffered a medical episode while driving before hitting his car into a garden wall.

The tragic crash happened on Moss Lane, at the junction with the A560, in the Timperley area of Trafford yesterday morning (Monday, December 15). Emergency services raced to the scene following reports that a Ford Kuga had crashed into a garden wall.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed today that the driver of the car, an 87-year-old man, suffered a medical episode behind the wheel. He was rushed to hospital from the scene but has sadly since died of his injuries.

A cordon was put in place on Moss Lane while specialist officers carried out investigations on the scene. The cordon was close to the Esso petrol station, near Moss Lane’s junction with Stockport Road.
