An 87-year-old man has died after suffering a suspected medical episode while driving in Timperley.
Police were called to Moss Lane at its junction with Stockport Road at 9.32am yesterday morning following reports of a collision.
It is believed the driver of a Ford Kuga suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, causing the vehicle to collide with a garden wall.
The man was taken to hospital but sadly died later.
The incident led to a section of Moss Lane being cordoned off close to the Esso garage on Stockport Road
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now appealing for witnesses as officers continue their investigation.
Anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area is asked to come forward.
