recently bought some grow lights, set them up last night and this is what they looked like in the morning … I'm not sure this is right? they're just sooo bright like is this normal?
from inside the house they are blinding too, to the point it's hard to stay in the room while they're on

Looks like you are running a shady business. Could be 2 very different kinds of shady businesses too lol
Plants dont need 24/7 light or grow light, they need some time in the dark too.
Just fyi, you dont need those purble grow lights. They do not benefit your plants, you can just get normal white ones that look better (at least in my opinion) and are slightly better for your plants than those purple ones 🙂

Grow lights should be pretty blindingly bright. You could adjust their angle or hang a bit of shade cloth to block some of the light from places people usually sit and hang out. Here’s a bank of lights I have in my office behind my desk. The shade cloth makes both using my desk and meetings over Teams possible.

Totally normal and like everyone else is saying white full spectrum lights are best!
Mine are all white lights and are on timers from 7-7. By the time it’s officially night they are all off.
They’re fine but white light would look better and I seriously reccomend only leaving them on during the daytime this way they arent as bothersome.
Ha ha ha ha! I recently became addicted to red light therapy and my lamp and mat was still on when I walked the dogs and I laughed as I saw my room lit up just like yours! I wonder what my neighbors are thinking!

Depending on where you live, this kind of light can quickly lead to unwanted attention. Not just by the police, but potentially also from criminals.
