As an experiment, I tried growing such large tomatoes for the first time. Overall, it was an interesting experience, as this is probably the largest variety I have ever dealt with. I tried to water them less than other varieties because I was afraid they might crack. For the tomatoes that were lying on the ground, I placed straw, hay or carton underneath so they wouldn’t come into contact with the soil, reducing the risk of spoilage. On average, the weight was around 400 grams(0.9 lb) when fertilizers were used.
Records show individual fruits reaching around 1 kg(2.2 lb), but I’ve never had tomatoes that large. Possibly, more frequent watering could have increased the chances, but it would also have raised the risk of fruit cracking, and I didn’t want to take that risk.
