Wood Sorrel (AKA Oxalis) is spread by seed and when an animal passes by the seeds may attach and spread elsewhere. Its a hard plant to get rid of due to this as even when weeding by hand seed pods explode. Some people as such choose to use a Glyphosate spray to eradicate the plant. This needs to be done each time a new plant shows its face also.

And this is just one of the reasons why it’s such a successful weed.

…and they will be all over your backyard for years. Nasty little weed which can hide really close to the stems of the plants you care about and so even more difficult to control.

Creeping oxalis. An absolute curse!
