I’m looking to find cheap and affordable ways to create moss poles at home for large plants!

The plants I have and would be using the poles for would be:
– Monstera Deliciosa Constellation Thai
– Monstera Borsigiana Albo
– Monstera Borsigiana Aurea
– Philodendron Pink Princess
– Philodendron White Knight
– Philodendron Brasil (I know, smaller)

My thought process was using chicken wire for the front, sphagnum moss on the inside, use a PVC cut out OR acrylic for the backing, and then using zip ties to keep closed. However, what is best, PVC or acrylic?

I’m wanting to keep this as sturdy as possible, especially since some of these plants have the potential to get pretty heavy. So I’m looking for durability, strength, humidity retention without drowning my plant (I’m in NC and plants mag venture outside in Spring/Summer), and affordability while building.
