Dipping my toes in the terrarium hobby and just found out that isopods cant have too much space so the quantity should be relative to the enclosure size. This tank is 45cm x 30cm x 30cm, how many isopods should i start with? Looking at cubaris sp.

Hi, I have a 50 40 40 with a colony of isopods… They have eaten all the moss, the fresh leaves of the fittonia and the mushrooms that sprout naturally….. I don’t know if it was a good idea to introduce them
If you really want… put 5-6… And if they start causing damage, leave them in the garden… Maybe catch them like I did instead of buying them

I wouldn’t add isopods in there.
They will eat all your moss and nibble your plants and there is no leaf litter that I can see for them to eat and hide in.
I’d stick to springtails for this one!
