Long time coming and I finally made one of my own. I live next to a carnviourus plant store! So in leiu of resourcing bulk materials I bought scoops of the substrate from them!
Crushed lava rock and charcoal at the bottom. I did add a window mesh cut to fit above th lava rocks as I read this can help prevent substrate from peaking through.
The dirt material I didnt even read what all is in it but I think its just ya regular mix.
Fern moss on top and some fittonia and polkadot plants.
Originally I wanted to add some carnies to it. Right now I am trying to grow some sundews from seeds thay I may add eventually or just start my own. I have some propagated pinigulas waiting to get a bit bigger before I do something with them. There are the tiniest baby pings in there if you can spot them. Sort of a hail mary to see if they grow cause they havent been doing well.
All that to say, I dont have many people to talk about this with so im really excited to be posting and would love any feedback. Tips or generally discussion. Thanks!
