I have a small pond behind my home with a simple drain to avoid overrun of an earth damn. It appears that a leak has formed on the outside of the corrugated pipe the drain runs through.

I’ve had some quotes to address and then include digging out and replacing the drain and pipe. That seems like a good, holistic approach.

I’m hoping there maybe a simpler approach that could give be 3-5 years before needing to invest kore significant in this repair and others to the pond.

Any suggestions?

How much of a leak are we talking about? Slow drip, or is it like gallons per hour? Or per minute? Or per second?

I’m just trying to figure out if this is something that’s not worth repairing right now, or if it’s really urgent and only getting worse.

Bentonite on water side of dam where leak is. I had to repair many natural dams utilizing bentonite due to tree roots growing through dam wall and creating leaks. Bentonite is safe non toxic so completely safe for environment.
