Wondering about the idea of having a solid wall built plus a kneewall then having a lean-to style greenhouse kit attached to that. I want a traditional style of greenshouse but also like the idea of a more energy efficient layout. Wall wouldn't be as fancy as this but best photo I could find of my idea.

    Nice-looking plan.
I used to manage one some Years ago,the only drawbacks I noted was they need good ventilation and double doors-between the residual wall- heat and the fact they dont get the airflow a free-standing one does.
Also the plants tend to lean away from the wall.
Then again, the wall warmth factor helps keep heating costs down, and the wall area is so handy for building staging structures/shelving racks onto.

It depends on your goals and your location. Do you get cloudy winters? How many months a year do you want to keep it above freezing? What kind of plants will be in there? Vegetables or tropicals? This design will be great for temperature regulation. You’ll want the wall to be inside the greenhouse and insulated on the backside to keep heat in.

I agree that it definitely needs more and larger vents! Mine is a lean to style where the whole top quarter opens up along the whole length of the peak and the whole 4′ knee wall opens. Then in July and Aug I pull the sides right off so it never gets above ambient air temperature. Maybe you can get it made with some removable side panels. While everyone else’s plants are roasting you’ll be fine. I don’t even use fans in the summer.
