Two people have died after an explosion in a garden set a house on fire and badly damaged it.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at about 18:10 GMT in the garden of the property in Heol Fawr in Nelson, Caerphilly.
The fire service said two people were pronounced dead at the scene and their family had been informed.
The road remains closed while crews deal with the fire, with diversions put in place, and people in the area have been urged to close all their doors and windows.
