Sir Bloomingdale spit out a 5 foot flower spike this year and it has 26 blooms on it. I’m very excited.

I don’t know the exact number but it was over 30. The spike started off with about 12 and just kept getting longer over the next few months.

Holy moly.. what are feeding those plants?

Like really. Whats ur orchid care routine?

Well depending on the plants background and the care given there can be results that are spectacular and reaching a level of unbelievable. Well growers in Asia have had ridiculous number of flowers in the range of 75 or more. There was an article years ago in the American Orchid Society Bulletin about it and how they achieved that. It made for spectacular display at the World Orchid Conference in 2023 in Taiwan.

I love how symmetrical that spike is. Most of mine just kinda crowd themselves.
